Our person centred approach

Person centred planning

Everyone is offered and assisted to develop a Person Centred Plan which includes goals of an individual’s choosing.

PCAS

All our staff are trained in Person Centred Active Support which enables them to support service users to achieve their personal aspirations.

Service User Involvement

We ensure that everyone we support has input into the way their services are delivered through regular meetings, interviews, forums and using feedback tools such as questionnaires.

Total communication approach

Our Total Communication approach focuses on implementing inclusive communication. We have a communication resource bank that enables staff to trial high and low tech communication aids and develop individualised communication strategies.

Our quality team includes a dedicated Total Communication Specialist who works exclusively with service users and support teams to improve communication and outcomes.

Safe and stimulating environments

 Quality

Our Quality Support Team is managed separately to ensure rigour and independence. The Quality Support Team is responsible for reviewing quality and managing and facilitating changes to the improvement of quality in each service. CMG also runs a monthly quality assurance forum which is chaired independently by the former Director of Adult Social Services for the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Safeguarding

CMG has an independent Safeguarding Board which meets on a monthly basis and is chaired by the former Director of Adult Social Services for the Royal Borough of Kingston. The Safeguarding Board reviews each safeguarding event across all services to monitor progress and ensure that any lessons are disseminated throughout the organisation.

Specialist support

These teams include our dedicated Healthcare and Therapy Team and Placement Support Team that provide support for appropriate placements that may be so for health or behavioural reasons.
